Uncle Matt's, Santa Cruz & Driscoll's

Score!

It always feels like a good day when I find Uncle Matt's Organic Orange Juice marked down! It reminded me, too, that I saw an Uncle Matt's coupon at Common Kindness! It's .75¢ off one bottle; I hope it doubles or becomes $1 for you.

The last time I posted a coupon for Uncle Matt's, I also linked to an article about the importance of 100% juice in children's diets and a study about High Fructose Corn syrup, in case you're interested. These are strong examples of why I encourage consumption of 100% juice, and discourage consumption of HFCS.

When I see deals on juices that meet that criteria, I'll promote them, even if they're not organic, because they're (so much) better than many "juice-like" drinks that are out there. However, organic juices like this one (and GoodBelly probiotic juices) are ideal.

I was also tickled to see that the Santa Cruz lemon (or lime) concentrated juice is back on sale at Kroger, though, while it's $3.29 in my stores, we noticed that it was "on sale" for $3.79 in my Mom's area. This is still a good price, and we also figured out that, since this is a 16 oz. bottle, it's a (much) better value than the Minute Maid frozen concentrate (that's not organic) which is only a 7.5 oz bottle for $1.99 or more!

Drinking lemon juice in water is great for cleansing your lymph system and your liver (see this book by Ann Louise Gittleman for more on this) and women who consume higher quantities of citrus have been shown to reduce their risk of stroke by 19%!

Also, Driscoll's organic strawberries were $2.50 at Kroger, which is not a bad price, and I couldn't resist!

Cinco De Mayo! Avocados From Mexico Coupon & More!

Avocados seem to be on sale everywhere again and I didn't even think of why...  until I got an email from Avocados From Mexico!

There's a high-value coupon at Coupon Network for Barbara's Cereals. 


This brand, like Kashi, is not organic, not do they claim to be, but I list these because they are better than many alternative cereals. "All-Natural" to Barbara's means "no refined sugar, hydrogenated oils, artificial food additives, flavors or preservatives."


So, if you're interested in this one, here's the how-to for the $1.75/ 1 box coupon (5.5 oz. or larger):

• Go to Coupon Network and login or create an account if you have not already. By the way, this is the company that produces those great Catalina offers that print when you buy designated items, sometimes for money off a future order or sometimes a related coupon. These can be found in the "Your Bucks" tab. You don't have to print them, but you can check which stores are participating.
• In another tab, be sure you're logged into Facebook.
• Find the Barbara's coupon under "Printable Coupons" and click on "ACCESS LIKE REWARD"
