My Facebook Post Was Hastily Scrambled

 Harris Teeter #18days18ways Giveaway

When I shared a post on Facebook a few days ago about Harris Teeter's #18days18ways Healthy Giveaway, I didn't realize that you need to enter each day for that day's prize package.  If you arrive at the page on Facebook and do not see a form, but instead get a message in a blue box stating "We've received your information. Thank you!" look just beneath that for this line: "If you did not sign up yet, click here." which will reset the form.

Also, the giveaway is only open to legal residents, over the age of 18, of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Delaware, Maryland, or the District of Columbia.  The official rules are here and the sweepstakes runs through January 31, 2014, so I encourage those of you who are eligible to enter to check it out!  There are still some valuable prizes to be awarded, including $250 and $300 Harris Teeter gift cards!

Today's challenge to Eat More Eggs for Breakfast and the related prize is pretty "egg"ceptional and one of my personal favorites.  The giveaway includes a Lodge cast iron skillet, coupons for 26 dozen Davidson’s Safest Choice® eggs and a $200 American Express gift card!

I love eggs, and not just for breakfast!  Eggs are a "near perfect" protein - easily digestible and readily available to be used by the body - and they contain choline, an important water-soluble nutrient.  Choline is especially critical in fetal brain development, so pregnant women are advised to increase intake, but the rest of us benefit, too, as it's a neurotransmitter and is associated with lower homocysteine levels.

I wish I was eligible to enter... Good luck to those of you who are!
